EZINE
Ezine is a rural Turkish village along the road that leads from Chanakkale to Bergama. Its name is linked to a group of small-size, all wool rugs that are hand knotted in a very large area. These rugs often have Caucasian patterns, like the border with dentate leaves, and also large medallions or star motifs similar to 16th century Turkish rugs. The knotting is symmetrical, not very dense, and takes several red, weft threads; the ends are also finished with wide, red kilim bands.
