VISS

The rugs from this city are quite different from the others made in the Arak area: they are decorated with clearly geometric patterns. The typical design is dominated by a central hexagon - usually on a bright orange or red background - that extend into to large pendants. The border is mostly a stylized version of the herati border. The knotting is not very dense, but strength and sturdiness make Viss rugs very suitable for highly trafficked areas.
